Passage: Acts 6:1-7

As the early church grew to more people and more communities, the apostles realized that they needed help. The work of serving those in need could not be done by just the 12, but it was a calling that all people share as we serve Christ together. By calling these first 7 deacons, the apostles remind us that we are all called to a life of service and that we live out that calling together.
